There are many diet methods out there. The basic principle is the same especially for the weight loss program

They work like this, by reducing the quantity of certain food groups and increasing the quantity of other food groups.

1. PALEO DIET

Basically it's going back to the past, how our ancestors gather and hunt food. They eat whole and fresh food and avoid processed food.

2. VEGAN DIET

This is another popular diet, and they have different types of vegan diet
  • Vegans (do not eat any form of animal products)
  • Pesco-vegetarians (exclude all animal flesh, but consumes fish)
  • Lacto - ovo - vegetarians (eat both dairy products and egg)
  • Lacto - vegetarians (eats dairy products but avoids egg)
  • Ovo - vegetarian (eats eggs but not dairy products)
  • Fruitarian (includes fruits, nuts, seeds and some vegetables)

3. KETO DIET

Another diet trend is keto diet, the principle is low carb, high fat intakes.
It involves reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. The reduction in carbs put our body into a metabolic state called ketosis.


4. LOW CARB DIET

It has similarity with Atkins Diet and Keto Diet and sometimes the method overlaps with each other.
Basically, we need to cut down carbohydrate intakes especially simplex carbohydrate.

5. INTERMITTEN FASTING DIET



This is not a diet method in the conventional sense but is more eating pattern cycle.
It doesn't specify which foods we should eat but when we should eat.
Common intermitten fasting methods involve daily 16 hours fasts - 8 hours eating or fasting for 24 hours twice per week.
